In addition, non-German speaking students must provide a German language certificate at level A2 (CEFR) by the end of the second semester. For German speaking students, an additional C1 conversation course in English is required instead. Additional free German and English courses are offered at the university's language centre.

Academic Admission

A completed Bachelor's degree in Environmental Protection, Climate Neutral Energy Systems, Water Management Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Energy and Water Management at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences with a final degree grade of at least least "good" (grade point average of 2.5 or better according to the German grading system) Alternatively, an equivalent degree with a final degree grade of at least "good" (grade point average of 2.5 or better according to the German grading system) in the field of environmental engineering or a related field, provided that at least 180 EC or six semesters can be proven Equivalence is considered for studies including at least 50% of the subject groups mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT) and if knowledge from the following core areas can be demonstrated: technical mechanics, design engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, process engineering, electrical engineering Applicants who completed an undergraduate degree outside of Germany need to submit a preliminary review documentation ("Vorprüfungsdokumentation – VPD") from uni-assist. An additional certificate from an Academic Verification Office (APS) in their home country is necessary for applicants with a degree from India, the People's Republic of China, or Vietnam.
