English

All applicants whose first language is not English are required to submit official evidence of sufficient English knowledge. This may be proven by one of the following: 1. A certificate confirming that the applicant has passed an internationally recognised language test: a. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) as an internet-based test (TOEFL iBT) with a score of at least 88, as TOEFL ITP test with a score of at least 570 or b. International English Language Testing System – Academic Test (IELTS) with at least band 6.0 or c. TELC with at least level B2 or d. Cambridge Preliminary English Test + Grade A (PET) or e. Cambridge First Certificate in English + Grade B or C (FCE) or f. UNIcert II or g. Pearson PTE Academic with at least 70 Points or 2. A certificate attesting to studying full-time in an English-speaking study programme of at least one year 3. A certificate for higher advanced technical college entrance qualification ("Fachhochschulreife") or of the 12th or 13th grade of high school senior classes with the grade “good” (at least 2.3 or 10 points according to the grading system of the German school system) for the subject “English” or 4. At least five years of attendance at a general education school where English is the language of instruction
