Requirements

Academic Admission

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 180 credit points (CrP) in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Medical Physics, or an engineering programme with a strong focus on medicine is required. In cases where prior knowledge in specific areas is insufficient, these deficiencies may be addressed through supplementary modules, which must be completed before the commencement of the Master’s thesis. If the qualifying Bachelor's degree comprises fewer than 210 credit points (CrP), up to 30 CrP will be assigned as additional modules. These must be completed prior to the start of the Master's thesis to achieve the total of 300 credit points required for a Master's degree. Admission to the programme requires a minimum grade point average of 2.7 or better in the applicant's Bachelor's degree (based on the German grading scale).

APS Certificate

An APS certificate is required for applicants who have completed their qualifying education in India, China, or Vietnam.
